TRY Supportive Housing Program for Women

A community to grow and thrive with.

The TRY program provides low cost housing with support for women who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. TRY has 43 private rooms with shared common washrooms and kitchen facilities. Rooms come furnished with a closet, bed frame and small fridge. Clients provide their own mattress, bed sheets, towels, cooking utensils, and groceries.

TRY has a dedicated team of case managers and support staff available to clients. After-hours assistance is provided by the Housing Support Office and front desk staff.  Clients will have access to crisis counselling, community resource information and support in order to achieve their long term goals to move on to permanent housing.

This program is open to single women, 18+ years of age, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. TRY welcomes women living with mental health and addictions issues who are connected to relevant supports. Those with addictions must be connected to community resources and be committed to their sobriety.

The TRY Supportive Housing Program is based on mutual respect, tolerance for differences and personal accountability.

  • You must be able to pay the program fee (maximum social assistance-shelter allowance rate) and cover the cost of personal needs.
