Upskill with hands-on training at no cost.

The Residential Building Science Field Pro Training course is offered in Ottawa on November 14, 2025. This one-day course covers four key building science modules. There is no cost to attend, thanks to support from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.

This course is made for people working hands-on in residential construction and design. It’s a great chance for Ontario home construction workers to build technical skills, which lower builders’ warranty risks and costs. Participants will get hands-on experience using building science principles to help create homes that are durable, healthy, energy-efficient, and low-carbon. Support your team’s ongoing growth.

The course is offered by the YMCA of the National Capital Region’s Home Builders Training Program in partnership with Building Knowledge.
